The 5 songwriters, chosen from over 30 artists from all over Puglia, will be guided by 4 experts in a work on the text and on the body, fundamental both for the communicative approach with the audience and for the practice of self-narrative. also through the videos and social networks that allow them to promote their artistic image through their own story.

Following the live selections, the path will now be divided into 3 phases that will take place in as many locations as: Spaceport in Taranto, Teatro Sociale in Fasano and Academy of Street Arts in Bari.

CHRISTIAN WHAT

Cristiano Cosa was born in Taranto 26 years ago and defines himself as a musical “big head”. He writes songs in a songwriting style with references to pop, rock and, more recently, rap. Kyotolp is the musical solo project of Roberta Russo, drummer, producer and performer, born in 1996, who grew up between Monza and Bari, where she currently lives. At the age of 15 he began to learn the drums and to approach the beatbox on his own. At 19 she moved to Bari, a city that proved to be very fertile ground and allowed her to find her way in the musical environment. In 2019 he takes part in the Rockin’1000 at Linate Airport together with Subsonica and Afterhours, sharing the stage with Morgan, ex Bluvertigo. The Kyotolp project was born in 2020: its peculiarity lies in the almost exclusive use of the voice, a loop station and the beatbox technique. The sounds are electronic, dark and enveloping, combined with vocals and spoken music. In this project, Roberta expresses all her judgments, influences and sensitivity to issues close to her heart (disability, immigration, freedom). In 2021 he released the single SPRING21, an intimate story of lockdown produced by rapper and beatmaker Tonico70, soul of independent label DINT RECORDZ. He is working on his first EP while touring in Italy and abroad since 2020.

GIANNICOLA SPERANZA

ll Preso Male is the stage name of Giannicola Speranza, born in 1995, Bari rapper, DJ and producer. His first independent project is called “Hi I’m ready”. After his debut as a music artist, he released several singles and collaborations with international protagonists with artists such as: Looch Bodega, 80 Empire and Balistic Man. He continued to experiment with sounds and genres by releasing during the lockdown “Bored”, Ep consisting of 5 songs and then a 3-track EP “XXV” produced entirely by Kif Kiffen. Throughout his career he shared the Stage with DJs and rappers as a group “Bari Jungle Brothers” on national and European dates. The Preso Male is currently working on new unreleased works and projects as a musical artist.

DONATELLA SPINELLI

Dionaea is the project of Donatella Spinelli, a young singer-songwriter from Bari. The passion for music was born as a child through studying the piano, which she followed a few years later with singing. At the age of 18 he wrote his first song and over time it became a necessity to tell about himself in songs. He participated in various local and non-local competitions and graduated in 2020 in pop singing at the “Nino Rota” Conservatory in Monopoli. After graduating as an “interpreter” and as a “lyricist” at Mogol’s CET, she released her first single “Resta qui” in March, available on all digital platforms.
